Corrosion resistance Zinc has active chemical properties. At room temperature, it forms a thin and dense basic zinc carbonate film on the surface, which can prevent further oxidation. Mechanical Properties The mechanical properties of aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets are mainly characterized by yield strength, tensile strength, and elongation. For a regular grade DC51D with a zinc coating of 150g/m虏, the yield strength typically ranges from 140 to 300 MPa, the tensile strength ranges from 200 to 330 MPa, and the elongation ranges from 13 to 25%. On the other hand, for grade DC51D+AZ with an aluminum-zinc coating of 150g/m虏, the yield strength ranges from 230 to 400 MPa, the tensile strength ranges from 230 to 550 MPa, and the elongation ranges from 15 to 45%. 5.
