How strict is Cathay Pacific with carry-on weight?

It is rare that Cathay Pacific Airlines Baggage Policy investigates the weight of your carry-on luggage.

That being said, you should do everything you can to stay within 25 pounds. or 11kg limit where possible.

As another precaution, we always recommend registering online to further reduce the chances of staff asking you questions.

My carry-on bag is slightly overweight, should I risk it?

In the unlikely event that your carry-on luggage is weight checked, it's not necessarily bad news.

Assuming you're done a bit, they may not be too worried about this.

What's more, there's nothing stopping you from quickly repackaging it before weighing it again.

Just be prepared to put on some heavier clothing to lose weight when you walk in the door!
