Uniform No. 42 worn by Ohtani...Estimated auction bid of $100,000

The U.S. sports and entertainment media TMZ reported on the 10th (local time) that Shohei Ohtani (29, LA Dodgers) wore on Jackie Robinson Day last year is expected to sell for $100,000 (about 136 million won) at auction.

All players in the U.S. Major League Baseball wear the jersey number 42, on Apr. 16, when Jackie Robinson, the league's first black player, made his debut. Ohtani, who wore the number 17 with the Los Angeles Angels last year, played with the number 42 on that day.

Ohtani, who has become a top star by playing hard as a batter and pitcher in MLB, wears a uniform only once a year, so the expected winning price is rising rapidly due to scarcity.
